Alan Chalk has over 25 years’ experience in senior management and hands-on roles as an Actuary in the General Insurance field. He has covered Personal and Commercial Lines as well as the London Market. Recently Alan has taken time out to complete Masters degrees both in Statistics and in Machine Learning and he now specialises in helping actuarial and analytics teams in insurance companies to build on their core strengths and to embed relevant and powerful statistical and machine learning techniques into their toolkit. Alan has been involved in providing strategic direction to actuarial pricing and reserving functions and in developing the worldwide pricing capability of large insurance companies through direct support and provision of internal training.
in addition to being a Senior Associate at MAP Training, Alan is also a Director at Machine Learning Systems, a company that provides consultancy and training solutions combining innovation and experience to unlock the business benefits of machine learning.
