Helen brings more than 35 years of experience in the general insurance industry, with a distinguished career spanning both the corporate and Lloyd’s markets. She currently serves as an Independent Non-Executive Director for a Lloyd’s Managing Agent, providing strategic oversight and independent challenge at Board level.
Throughout her career, Helen has held senior leadership roles including Chief Risk Officer, Insurance Risk Director, Underwriting Director and Oversight Manager. She has extensive Board and Executive Committee experience, with particular expertise in governance frameworks, performance management, and engagement with regulators and government bodies.
Her core strengths include portfolio and performance management, portfolio and case pricing, and underwriting across a broad spectrum of clients — from small businesses to large multinational organisations — as well as policy wording development and oversight.
Helen is a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute, reflecting her deep professional expertise and commitment to the highest standards within the industry.
A passion for Helen is technical and personal development of others and throughout her career has become an experienced coach and mentor. She has designed and delivered technical training and is skilled at presenting as a guest speaker at industry events.
