Alex joined MAP Training as a Senior Associate in June 2016. She has over 20 years international experience in formulating multinational insurance best practice, developing relevant training programmes on a range of technical insurance subjects and international relationship management. She has worked extensively designing and delivering bespoke training at various levels in different organisations in over 60 countries. This has been through a combination of one on one training to large scale off-site events.

Alex worked as part of RSA’s Global Network Management Team and latterly as Multinational Marine Leader within the Group Underwriting function. Specialisms include set up and management of global insurance networks, multinational insurance programme compliance and implementation best practice, creation and ongoing development of technical training programmes for worldwide delivery and strategic cross-border projects and event management.

Alex is fully bilingual English / Spanish and has strong communication and collaboration skills together with an in-depth understanding of international etiquette and relationship management. She has also worked with international clients dealing with often complex regulatory environments to ensure resolution of technical process issues and has presented at industry events on multinational programmes. Some of Alex’s notable deliveries in recent years include:

  • Designed multinational insurance technical pathway and bespoke training programmes to resolve capability needs (identified via skills benchmarking process). Led delivery of programmes in Scandinavia, Spain, Netherlands, Latin America and UK to over 50 senior insurance professionals.
  • Co-ordination and delivery of regional workshops as part of a tailored worldwide change and training programme for implementation of new multinational insurance IT system used by partners in over 130 countries.
  • Technical expert on multinational insurance compliance. Worked with colleagues to manage challenges following changes in local legislation and ensure continued programme compliance. Presented at AIRMIC Academy, UK and RIMS Canada conference on ‘Challenges of multinational programmes’.
