These bespoke programmes can be anything from one day to twenty days delivered over a period of weeks or months. An example of a recent programme is below.

We also offer a number of shorter tailored programmes in areas such as portfolio management and managing risk. These have the advantage of having existing core material that is tailored as appropriate to meet the needs of the client thereby allowing quick and cost effective deployment within the client’s business.

At the heart of both is the firm belief that delegates learn far more effectively through doing; so our programmes are always highly interactive and focussed around practical case studies, exercises and projects supported by expert led delivery and support.

At MAP Training our team have a blend of in-depth insurance expertise combined with knowledge and experience of designing and delivering bespoke programmes with a major global general insurer. In recent years we have shaped and run global and regional programmes for underwriters, claims handlers, and portfolio managers in areas such as Commercial Property, Marine Cargo, Commercial Liability, Professional & Financial Risks, Multinational Business, Bodily Injury and across the spectrum of portfolio management.

In addition to the expertise of our company principals, we work with a number of associate partners who can bring in depth technical knowledge and experience from different fields of insurance and partners with extensive experience in coaching, managing talent, leadership development and organisational change.

We can provide programme management expertise to support or lead the planning, designing and delivering of capability programmes. We have experience in managing multi-faceted development programmes that combine classroom and eLearning training solutions.

We also work with clients to help improve their insight into the strategic and operational capabilities required to build technical excellence.

Specifically to assist in doing this, we have developed our own diagnostic framework (MAPability) that enables a client to assess its capability to drive technical skill development; furthermore it provides a clear set of recommendations for improvement that we will work with you to prioritise and move forward.

MAP Training can provide guidance on how best to conduct a technical capability review to highlight gaps in skills to support business strategy and to do this review cost effectively and in a timely manner.
