The Benefact Group class of 2023/24 completes their programme

We had a great day in London yesterday with the latest cohort from the Benefact Group (delegates from Ecclesiastical UK & Ireland and Ansvar UK) as they successfully completed the final session of the highly successful Commercial Awareness programme that has been running for a number of years. Delivered over several months, the programme consists of three virtual classroom sessions, reading materials, recorded sessions and the training element culminates with the in person workshop. That isn’t the end of their journey though, as each delegate works with their assigned coach during and after the programme to shape their additional personal development priorities to ensure they fully embed their learning as they go back to their day roles – whether that be as underwriters, risk surveyors or Business Development Managers.

What the MAP Training team enjoy about this programme is that the range of experience of individuals on this programme is so varied, from those relatively new to the industry up to those with 30+ years of experience. This enables us to really stretch those with experience, and lets the less experienced attendees hear first hand from their peers how to handle different situations – whether this is looking at how to manage difficult negotiations or other difficult conversations; how to effectively build relationships with brokers and clients; or different ways to sell their proposition, etc.

We wish them all luck as they look to build on this programme with their coaches in the coming months; and meantime, a brand new cohort has just kicked off with their first module on Managing Negotiations.
