Celebrating 10 Years of Success: A Decade of Developing Tomorrow’s Technical Experts
This month marks a major milestone for MAP Training as we proudly celebrate our 10th anniversary. What began as a seed of an idea has grown into a thriving and respected business, supporting a wide range of insurance clients through innovation, collaboration, and a steadfast commitment to excellence. At the heart of it all has been our passion for people.
Founded in 2015, MAP Training was built on a simple yet powerful vision: to develop tomorrow’s technical experts. As the insurance industry faced increasing complexity, growing regulation, and constant change, we recognised a critical need to strengthen the technical capabilities of its people—improving both performance and competitive advantage.
Our approach has always been to partner closely with clients to create tailored capability development solutions aligned with their business strategies. Over the past decade, that vision has evolved into a trusted brand known for its integrity, quality, and a genuine dedication to client success.

Throughout the years, we’ve hit a number of significant milestones. From our first client project with QBE in July 2014, developing an end-of-programme evaluation exercise, to our first extensive year-long trading capability programme for Covea co-delivered using a Train the Trainer model. Then we delivered our first global programme with XL Catlin, bringing a Pricing for Underwriters course to teams across multiple international locations.
When the pandemic hit, we adapted swiftly—shifting to virtual and blended delivery models that not only met the moment but elevated our capabilities. Today, we proudly deliver global programmes that bring together participants from around the world in highly interactive, engaging environments. We take great pride in the ongoing positive feedback shared by delegates and their leaders, and evidenced by subsequent reengagements for additional programmes.
In short, each client engagement has helped shape who we are today.
Over the years, our work has spanned a wide array of topics, including underwriting, pricing, reinsurance, portfolio management, leadership, relationship development, negotiation, and proposition selling. We’ve built capability frameworks, developed internal training teams, and provided coaching to support long-term growth. Every programme reflects our core aim: to build the skills, knowledge, and confidence that professionals need to thrive. We achieve this by blending our expertise in training and capability development with in-depth technical knowledge of the insurance industry.
